Job Overview

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that all invoices are recorded accurately and processed on time. This includes reviewing vendor statements, reconciling accounts, entering data with precision, and communicating with suppliers when necessary. A strong understanding of accounting processes and tools—especially Excel—is critical for success in this role.

 

Responsibilities

  • Process and verify vendor invoices, purchase orders, and payment records
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry into accounting systems
  • Perform reconciliations of accounts payable records and vendor statements
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies or payment issues
  • Support the finance team with month-end closing and reporting tasks
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation for audit and compliance purposes

 

Job Qualifications and Skills Sets

  • Accounts payable experience in a business or finance environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and spreadsheets
  • Strong English skills, both written and verbal
  • High level of accuracy and speed in data entry

Preferred

  • Accounting degree or coursework in accounting or finance
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
