Finance Head and Controller

Job Overview

We are hiring a Finance Head and Controller to lead the financial operations of our Cebu office. This leadership role is central to managing local expenditure, payroll, fund requests, compliance and reporting, in close alignment with the U.S. headquarters. The ideal candidate has deep experience in finance, is CPA-licensed and brings a high level of accountability and integrity in managing multi-million peso workflows within a BPO or shared services environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve all local expenses; conduct regular spot audits
• Monitor vendor payments, receipts and internal financial processes for accuracy
• Oversee operational fund requests and ensure fund allocation aligns with budgets
• Manage relationships with local banks and ensure fund availability
• Audit payroll for accuracy in accordance with Philippine Labor Law
• Ensure full compliance with PH government agencies (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG)
• Handle government filings, renewals and ensure zero penalties
• Prepare month-end financial reports (“Cebu Packet”) for U.S. headquarters
• Support budget creation and track actual vs. forecasted expenses
• Maintain high standards of internal controls and financial transparency

Job Qualifications and Skills Set

• CPA with a valid license in the Philippines
• Minimum 7 years of experience in finance and accounting
• At least 3 years in a leadership or controller-level position
• Strong grasp of internal controls, audits and compliance
• Highly proficient in Excel; experience with QuickBooks Online or similar tools
• BPO or Shared Services industry experience preferred
• Strong communication skills for coordination with U.S. counterparts
