Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to support intake, insurance verification and order processing activities within a healthcare environment. This role plays a critical partn in ensuring accurate order intake, insurance validation and documentation management while delivering professional support to patients, referaal sources and internal teams.
Responsibilities
Order Intake & Processing
- Receive, verify and process incoming product orders and referrals into company systems
- Review, categorize and organize incoming documentation accurately
- Enter patient demographics, insurance information and order details into internal databases
- Ensure all order information is complete and properly documented
Insurance Verification
- Verify patient insurance benefits through healthcare portals and insurance providers
- Document and communicate insurance coverage information accurately
- Coordinate with patients and referral sources regarding insurance-related inquiries
- Maintain detailed records of benefit verification and eligibility information
Documentation & Record Management
- Maintain accurate notes and records that reflect the status and progression of referrals
- Ensure all documentation is properly organized and stored within company systems
- Follow established procedures for document management and data accuracy
Customer Service & Team Collaboration
- Communicate professionally with patients, referral sources and internal departments
- Report customer feedback, concerns and compliments according to company procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely processing
- Participate in training sessions, meetings and ongoing process improvements
Job Qualifications and Skills Set
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare front office, healthcare customer service or insurance processing role
- Experience working in a structured and process-driven environment
- Strong computer literacy and ability to navigate multiple systems
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to follow procedures and receive direction from management
- Responsible, dependable and cooperative work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with insurance verification and benefits coordination
- Familiarity with healthcare terminology and medical documentation
- Background in healthcare administration, intake processing or patient support
