Job Overview

As a Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for inputting, updating, and verifying large volumes of data in company databases. Your role is essential in keeping records current, consistent, and accessible. You’ll work closely with other departments to resolve data discrepancies, support reporting needs, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

 

Responsibilities

  • Enter, update, and verify data across internal databases and platforms
  • Review data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency
  • Maintain and update existing records to ensure current and correct information
  • Identify and correct errors, and escalate inconsistencies as necessary
  • Perform data backups and generate reports upon request
  • Communicate with team members to resolve unclear data entries
  • Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive or proprietary information
  • Follow company procedures and data entry protocols
  • Support other administrative or clerical tasks as needed

 

Job Qualifications and Skills Set

  • Proven experience in data entry or an administrative/clerical role
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage large volumes of information efficiently
  • Clear communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive data

Preferred

  • Experience with data entry software or internal ERP/CRM systems
  • Basic familiarity with data auditing or reporting tools
