Job Overview

The NetSuite Developer plays a critical role in shaping and maintaining the organization’s ERP environment, with a primary focus on NetSuite and integrated platforms. This role is tasked with customizing, optimizing, and supporting the NetSuite ERP system to enhance business operations across departments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise in SuiteScript, SuiteCommerce Advanced, and web technologies, along with a keen understanding of business process automation and integration. The developer will work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.

Responsibilities

• Customize NetSuite to support business needs through scripting, workflows, and configuration.

• Build and maintain websites, including new features, bug fixes, and design updates (e.g., Toolup.com).

• Develop and upgrade SuiteCommerce Advanced to improve e-commerce functionality.

• Support end users by resolving technical issues related to NetSuite and website code.

• Collaborate with teams and vendors to plan and implement system features.

• Convert web designs into templates using HTML, CSS, and Handlebars.js.

• Maintain third-party integrations with other systems and tools.

• Ensure system security and data availability, and suggest improvements for performance and safety.

• Propose technical solutions to improve operations and increase productivity.

• Manage software licenses and follow IT policies related to compliance and confidentiality.

• Stay organized and professional, meet deadlines, and participate in training and development.

Job Qualifications and Skill Sets

The ideal candidate should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 3 years of hands-on NetSuite development experience.
• Skilled in SuiteScript, SuiteCommerce Advanced, and NetSuite customization tools.
• Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Handlebars.js.
• Familiar with APIs (REST/SOAP), JSON, XML, and third-party system integrations.
• Experience using version control (like Git) and basic CI/CD workflows.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Clear communicator with good documentation habits.
• Works well both independently and in a team.
• Organized and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• NetSuite certifications (e.g., SuiteFoundation or ERP Consultant) are a plus.
