Mechanical Drafter (Night Shift, Onsite)

About the role

Our client is a US manufacturer that designs and builds industrial welding machines sold in over 60 countries. Their engineers create the 3D models; you turn them into the detailed drawings and parts lists the factory builds from. You will work directly with their Director of Engineering and become part of their engineering team.

What you will do

• Create detailed 2D drawings of parts, weldments, sheet metal and assemblies from 3D models, following the client's engineering standards.
• Add dimensions, tolerances, materials, finishes and assembly notes as directed by the design engineer.
• Build and maintain parts lists and bills of materials (BOMs), including vendor part numbers.
• Revise drawings, process Engineering Change Requests and keep files and revisions in order in Autodesk Vault.
• Prepare concept, panel, floor and shipping layouts, and compile a complete PDF print book for each project.
• Review drawings with the engineer before release and flag any drawing or design issues you find.
• Answer drawing questions from manufacturing, sales and customer service.

What you bring

• 1 to 2 years of mechanical drafting experience.
• 2+ years using Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Working knowledge of drafting standards, dimensioning and tolerancing; you read engineering drawings and BOMs with ease.
• An associate's degree in drafting/CAD or mechanical engineering technology, or equal experience.
• Clear written and spoken English, close attention to detail, and the ability to manage several projects at once.
• A plus: Autodesk Vault, GD&T (ASME Y14.5), sheet metal and weldment drawings, industrial machinery experience, or experience writing technical manuals.

Details

• Onsite at our office in Cebu Business Park, Cebu City.
• Night shift, 9 PM to 6 AM Cebu time (US Eastern business hours), Monday to Friday, full time.
• Salary: PHP 35,000 to 50,000 a month, based on experience.
• Shortlisted applicants take a short practical drafting test.
