Night shift jobs at Staff Outsourcing Solutions

Staff Outsourcing Solutions has built dedicated teams in Cebu for businesses in the United States and Australia for 15 years, since 2010. Most of our roles run on the night shift, during our US and Canadian clients' business hours. Roles for Australian clients run on the day shift, and those postings say so.

Every role is full time and onsite. You are hired by us as a direct hire, you work with one client's team, and an account manager looks after you and the account. Our current night shift openings include patient accounts receivable (in English, and a Spanish bilingual line), patient scheduling and appointment setting, insurance claims and denials, account management, talent acquisition, and book interior design in Adobe InDesign. The open positions are listed below, or see all our job postings.

Graveyard shift: what it means

"Graveyard shift" is the everyday name for a work shift that runs through the night, while most people are asleep. In Philippine BPO and call center work, graveyard shift and night shift mean the same thing: a full shift that starts in the evening and ends in the morning, timed to a client's business day on the other side of the world. The night hours in the Labor Code, the ones that earn night differential, run from 10 PM to 6 AM.

Why the shift runs at night

Our clients are companies in the United States and Canada. Cebu is about half a day ahead of them, so their working day lands on our night. When a patient in the US calls a provider about a bill, our team is at work to answer. Each account sets its exact start and end time, and the screening call confirms yours.

How pay works: night differential, holiday pay and benefits

Each posting shows its salary package on its own page. Here is how a night shift package is built.

  • Base salary, with regular salary appraisals. The salary package on the posting is your starting point.
  • Night differential. Article 86 of the Labor Code of the Philippines sets night shift differential at not less than 10 percent of your regular wage for each hour of work between 10 PM and 6 AM. That is the legal minimum, not a figure for our pay. Each posting lists night differential among its benefits.
  • Holiday premium pay. Under Article 94 of the same code, an employer may require work on a regular holiday, and that work is paid at twice the regular rate.
  • HMO and health insurance.
  • Service incentive leave upon regularization.
  • A performance bonus on some roles. Our insurance claims posting, for example, adds one on top of the salary package.
  • Training and upskilling through SOS Academy, our in-house training program.

The same list adds full-time employment as a direct hire with real room to grow, and employee engagement activities.

Making the night shift work for you

The night shift is easier with a routine you set up before your first week.

  • Sleep. Keep one fixed sleep block after every shift, in a dark, quiet room. Tell the people at home when you sleep so they can protect it. On your weekends off, try to stay close to your work rhythm so Monday night is not a reset.
  • Meals. Eat your main meal before the shift, bring light food and water for your break, and go easy on coffee in the last hours so you can sleep when you get home. Bringing baon keeps the routine simple.
  • Getting there and home. Plan your route to Cebu Business Park and back before day one. Travel with a teammate on the same schedule when you can, share your trip with family on your ride-hailing app, and let someone know when you leave and when you arrive.
  • Family time. The Monday to Friday schedule means your weekends belong to you, for family, errands and rest.

Who does well on the night shift

Our healthcare postings describe the same habits for each night shift team. The people who do well:

  • Show up for every shift on time and keep the same standard on the last call of the night as on the first.
  • Follow the procedure even when a shortcut is tempting, and ask when something is unclear rather than guessing.
  • Protect client and patient information without being reminded.
  • Tell the team lead before a problem becomes a complaint, not after.

Experience requirements differ by role. Our patient scheduling role welcomes fresh graduates and board passers from Nursing, MedTech and RadTech, and customer service experience is not required for it; most other roles ask for six months to a year or more in similar work. Each posting lists what it needs.

To apply, open the posting for the role you want and use the form on that page: your name, email, phone number, the day and time you prefer to get a call, and an updated resume. Our postings describe the steps as a screening call in our evening, a short assessment, an interview with the account manager, and for some roles a final interview with the client's team by video on our shift. We aim to move within days, not weeks.

Staff Outsourcing Solutions never asks applicants for payment, training fees or personal documents before a written job offer. If anyone asks you to pay in our name, do not pay. Our how-to-apply guide walks through each step in more detail.

Frequently asked questions

A graveyard shift is a work shift that runs through the night, usually starting in the evening and ending in the morning. In Philippine BPO work it means the same as night shift: the hours that match a US or Canadian client's business day.

Our night shift follows US business hours, Monday to Friday. Each account sets its own start and end time, and the screening call confirms yours before you accept an offer.

The Labor Code sets night shift differential at not less than 10 percent of your regular wage for each hour worked between 10 PM and 6 AM (Article 86). That is the legal minimum for covered employees, not our pay figure; each of our postings shows its salary package and lists night differential and holiday premium pay.

Yes. Our postings list a Monday to Friday schedule with weekends off.

Onsite. Every role is full time at our office in Cebu Business Park, 7F MDCT Building, Leyte Loop, Cebu City.

No. Every role at Staff Outsourcing Solutions is full time, as a direct hire.

Night work is manageable with a steady routine: a fixed sleep block, planned meals, and a planned route to and from the office, ideally with a teammate. If you have a health condition that night work may affect, ask your doctor before you apply.

Open the posting for the role you want, fill in the form and upload your resume. Every applicant gets a reply, and we never ask for payment, training fees or personal documents before a written job offer.
