Apply in a few minutes
Every opening on our job postings page has its own apply form. Open the posting for the role you want, read the requirements and the shift, then fill in the form at the bottom of the page:
- Your first and last name, email and phone number.
- The day and time you prefer to get a call, Monday to Friday.
- An updated resume. PDF and Word files work, and so do most common document types.
Use a phone number you answer and an email you check daily. A few specialist postings also ask for work samples or a short written answer.
What happens after you apply
Our postings describe the same path for most roles:
- Apply on the posting. Send the form with your resume. Every applicant gets a reply.
- A screening call. We call you in our evening, Cebu time. For the Spanish bilingual role, the call includes a short conversation in Spanish.
- A short assessment. For some specialist roles this is a short work sample instead, such as an InDesign exercise for the book interior designer role.
- An interview with the account manager. The account manager looks after the client's account and its team, so this is where you learn about the work in detail.
- A final interview with the client's team, for some roles. It happens by video, on our shift. Management roles have a final interview with our leadership instead, onsite or by video.
- A written job offer. We aim to move within days.
Common call center interview questions and answers
These are the questions you are most likely to hear in a call center or BPO interview in Cebu. Use the sample answers as a shape and fill them with your own facts. Interviewers can tell a memorized script from a true story, so never claim experience you do not have.
1. Tell me about yourself. Keep it to about a minute: where you are now, one strength with proof, and why this role. "I graduated in Hospitality Management this year. On weekends I worked the counter at a restaurant in IT Park, where I handled orders and complaints. I learned to stay calm with an upset guest and fix the problem before the manager had to step in. I want a full-time job where I can build on that."
2. Why do you want to work in a BPO? Talk about the work and what you want to learn, not only the pay. "I like helping people solve problems. A BPO gives me training, a clear path to grow and steady full-time work."
3. Why do you want to work at Staff Outsourcing Solutions? Show that you read the posting. "I would be a direct hire on one client's team, with the account manager in the same building. I learn faster in person, and I like that training continues through SOS Academy after I start."
4. Are you comfortable working the night shift? Most of our roles run on the night shift during US business hours, Monday to Friday, with weekends off. Answer with a plan. "Yes. I have set my sleep schedule for night work before, and my commute to Cebu Business Park is short, so I can arrive on time every shift."
5. Tell me about a time you handled an upset person. Use a real story: the situation, what you did and how it ended. "A customer at my last job was angry about a wrong order. I listened without cutting in, apologized, confirmed what she needed and fixed it on the spot. She thanked me before she left."
6. What does good customer service mean to you? "Solving the problem on the first contact, being polite even when the caller is not, and writing clear notes so the next person can help without asking the same questions again."
7. How do you handle targets? Call center work has quality and productivity targets. "I check where I stand during the shift instead of at the end. If I fall behind, I ask my team lead what I can change. I never trade accuracy for speed."
8. What would you do if you did not know the answer to a customer's question? "I would tell the customer I will find out, check the guide or ask my team lead, and come back with the right answer. Guessing could cost the customer more time later."
9. Where do you see yourself in two years? "Still here, handling harder calls with good quality scores, and ready to help train new team members."
10. Do you have any questions for us? Always have two or three. Ask about the account, the training, or the shift start time, which the postings do not list.
Call center interview questions and answers for no experience
If this is your first BPO application, interviewers look for other things: clear spoken English, careful listening, reliability and honesty. Answer from school projects, part-time work, a family business or student organizations. A first-timer who explains how they handled a hard customer at a sari-sari store gives a better answer than one who recites a script.
Some of our roles accept applicants with no call center experience. Our patient scheduling posting says customer service experience is not required, and it welcomes fresh graduates and board passers from Nursing, MedTech and RadTech. Other postings ask for experience, so check the requirements on each one.
Final interview questions for call center and BPO roles
On some of our roles, the final interview is with the client's team, by video, on our shift. It checks whether you fit that team and its work. Expect questions about the account itself, how you would handle a situation from the job, your schedule and when you can start. To prepare, read the posting again, test your camera and microphone, and be ready to give a start date you can keep.
Tips that help on the day
- For video and phone steps: use a quiet room and a stable connection, charge your phone or laptop, and use earphones with a microphone.
- During the hiring window: keep your phone on in our evening and answer calls you do not recognize.
- If you are invited to the office: arrive early. We are at 7F MDCT Building, Leyte Loop, Cebu Business Park, Cebu City.
- When you speak: slow down. A clear answer counts for more than a fast one.
- Protect yourself: Staff Outsourcing Solutions never asks applicants for payment, training fees or personal documents before a written job offer. If anyone asks you to pay in our name, do not pay.
After the offer: training and your first weeks
New team members train and keep upskilling through SOS Academy, our training program, with ongoing workshops, seminars and certifications. On the floor you work with a team lead, and your account manager sits in the same building and plans your first week on the account. See our facilities for the office you will work in and our culture for life on the team.
