Call center hiring in Cebu: who is hiring
Staff Outsourcing Solutions is a BPO company in Cebu Business Park. Since 2010 we have built dedicated teams in Cebu for businesses in the United States and Australia. We are SEC-registered and DOLE-compliant. You are hired by us, you work with one client's team, and an account manager looks after you and the account.
Our founder, Chris Rush, opened SOS in 2010 after hiring a Philippine BPO that did not work. That is why we hire our own people directly and keep every team in our own office.
We are hiring now for customer service and call center roles, healthcare account roles and specialist roles. Every role is full time and onsite. Each posting lists its duties, its requirements and its salary package, and you apply on the posting with your resume. You can also go straight to all our job postings.
The roles we hire for
Customer service and call center
Our call center agents take inbound and outbound calls for US clients, answer questions about accounts and orders, resolve concerns or escalate them, and document every call in the client's system. Several of our current customer service openings are on healthcare accounts: patient calls, order intake and insurance verification. Each posting sets its own bar; one of our Customer Service Representative postings, for example, asks for at least six months of healthcare BPO voice experience.
Healthcare account roles
Patient scheduling and appointment setting, patient accounts receivable (including a Spanish bilingual line) and insurance claims and denials. The scheduling role is open to Nursing, MedTech, RadTech and allied health graduates and undergraduates, and customer service experience is not required for it. The accounts receivable and claims roles ask for at least a year of experience in the same work. Our healthcare account jobs page explains each role in more detail.
Specialist and management roles
We also hire data analysts, product listing specialists, sales development representatives, content, logistics and design specialists, a technical trainer, recruiters and account managers. These roles ask for experience in the field, and each posting lists what it needs.
Who does what on your account
You work for one client, on a team inside our office. Here is how the work splits.
- SOS hires you directly, pays your salary and benefits, runs the office, trains you through SOS Academy and gives every account an account manager.
- The client sets the work, the tools, the procedures and the quality bar for its own customers.
- You handle the calls and the records, follow the client's procedure on every call and tell your team lead early when a problem is building.
Our clients' success is ours, so your account manager looks after you and the account together.
Night shift, Monday to Friday, weekends off
Most of our roles run on the night shift, during our US and Canadian clients' business hours, Monday to Friday. Your weekends are off. Roles for Australian clients run on the day shift, and those postings say so.
The US business day falls in the Cebu night. When it is 9:00 AM in New York, it is 9:00 PM in Cebu while US daylight saving time is on, and 10:00 PM from November to March. The postings do not list exact start times, so ask about yours on the screening call. Our night shift jobs page explains how the schedule works week to week.
What you get: pay and benefits
Pay at SOS is built from these parts:
- Base salary, with salary appraisals.
- Night differential and holiday premium pay on top of your base pay.
- HMO and health insurance.
- Service incentive leave upon regularization.
- A performance bonus on some roles. The posting says when a role has one.
Each posting shows its salary package, so read the posting for the role you want. If a posting does not print a figure, ask on your screening call.
Every posting also lists these:
- A Monday to Friday schedule with weekends off.
- Stable full-time employment as a direct hire, with real opportunity and growth.
- Training and upskilling through SOS Academy, our in-house training program.
- A healthy work environment and employee engagement activities.
Where you will work
Our office is on the 7th to 15th floors of the MDCT Building in Cebu Business Park. The address is 7F MDCT Building, Leyte Loop, Cebu Business Park, Cebu City, 6000. Cebu Business Park is the business district in central Cebu City that is also home to Ayala Center Cebu.
Every team member works 100 percent onsite in our Cebu office. You learn faster next to your teammates, and your account manager is in the same building. The office is a Class A building with backup power and redundant internet, ergonomic workstations and a coaching room for quick team huddles. See our facilities for photos of the floors.
Who does well here
Our postings describe the same kind of person across roles. The people who do well here:
- Are exact with names, dates and account notes, because a small error costs a customer and the team time.
- Stay calm, patient and kind with a worried caller.
- Show up for every shift on time and keep the same standard on the last call of the night as on the first.
- Protect customer information and follow the procedure even when a shortcut is tempting.
- Ask when something is unclear instead of guessing.
- Are open to new tools, including AI tools that take routine work off their plate.
Clear spoken and written English matters in every role. You also need to live in Cebu and be able to work onsite in Cebu Business Park on the shift the posting names.
How to apply
Open the posting for the role you want and check the requirements. Apply with the form on the posting: your name, email, phone number, the day and time you prefer to get a call, and an updated resume (PDF, Word and most common file types are accepted).
Every applicant gets a reply. As our postings describe it, the process is a screening call in our evening, a short assessment, an interview with the account manager and, for some roles, a final video interview with the client's team. We aim to move within days.
Staff Outsourcing Solutions never asks applicants for payment, training fees or personal documents before a written job offer. If anyone asks you to pay in our name, do not pay. Our how-to-apply page walks through each step in more detail.
Life at SOS
We balance work with time to unwind and connect: team-building activities, fitness events and friendly competition, plus workshops and seminars through SOS Academy. See our culture for what a year on the team looks like.
